i am trying to find all the information i can get on any and all the plymouth roof inserts i can get. what i need is measurements of the insert or the hole. any pictures i can get of the top. and if possiable cardboard templates of the bow in the roofs. any one that has this information or knows where i can get it can write to me direct at . also feel free to check out my site www.houseoftops.com.  I posted this in another area a while back and i got no responce, maybe i posted it in the wrong section so i am trying this again, hope it hels this time. thanks for your help, frank

We'll be pulling out the top framing assembly of our '34 PE sedan to fit new fabric sometime later this spring, after the rainy season here in the S. F. bay area is over.

If you'd like, we'll do a quantity of photos and measurements, as I think.....but, obviously won't know til we open it up.....that the original wood is likely to be in pretty good condition.

I'm emotionally 'braced', so to speak, for having to re-make some of the wood, or splice in repair sections here and there. We do have moderately good woodworking capability here, so I should be able to do that work without too much difficulty.

I'm suspecting that the top framework will be eastern, probably Upper Michigan, hard maple.......has that been so with the old Mopars you've done top frame work on?

What do you recommend for top fabric?

carla: sure you can send me photos and measurements. i have found that all the tops i have done were made out of oak not maple. i reproduce tops and interior wood kits for the old mopars. i should be able to help you out if you find you to replace either part or all of your top. feel free to check out my site www.houseoftops.com. as far as fabric goes most people use vinyl. and depending on weather or not you use welting or a rubber gasket, that will determin where the metal edging will sit on your top. i dont do the fabric myself, i can forsee problems ariseing from that as a small business. things like the grain runs the wrong direction or it is the wrong shade of color. if i were you i would just have it done by a shop. feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions. thanks frank
