looking for center hood strip that i think is a hinge for the two halfs ???

The 1941 plymouth cars have a 1 piece hood, could yours be a 1940. The 41 trucks  have a 2 piece hood.

it is a friend of mine and he is now telling me that it is a 1940 thank you
