Post by: samiam0821 on September 24, 2007, 03:32:45 AM
Any recommendations as to what type of sealant I should for the oil pan gasket and should I apply it to both sides? Thanks, Camille

There is only one sealant worth using.  Permatex Right Stuff.  It comes in an aerosol can.  If you had a can on the Titanic, you could have kept it afloat.  Trust me, Permatex Right Stuff.  The name fits.

VERY lightly.  Or, with a nice bead you don't need the gasket at all.
