Title: How come so little info on the Concord Sept meet?
Post by: plym_46 on August 07, 2007, 08:55:25 AM
The main POC site refers a visitor to come to the forum. The forum has but one reference.  YOu might think there would be more information available since the event is little over a month away.  Several people have inquired about it, but since I didn't have my bulletin handy I refered them to the web site.  They will most likely have been disapointed by what is available.

Greg;
Can you tell me where to find the one reference you mentioned?

Is there a host hotel? Is there planned activities?

For the most part, I don't make any content here on the POC site.  I trust officers and gentlemen to supply details.  If I was retired and had more time (wait I know a lot of retired guys who have less time than I do) - - - If I had more time - I would try to incorporate more of the Paper Bulletin here - but we do still want people to be members of the POC and read their mailed Bulletin (I got mine on Saturday) so they know what is going on.

Is anyone else planning to camp?  I think my budget is stretched too tight as it is...  :-[

I'm seriously thinking about tossing a tent in the trunk and heading over to Fleetwood to save a peso.  Keep an eye out for a red and white four door 57 Plymouth!

Hey 57 Plymouth

Call (704) 455-4445 and tell them you want to be next to the "Lape party".  That way you can be camping next to us.  I think we will have a 68 Fury III convertible, a 69 Fury III convertible, a 71 Duster Twister, in addition to a late model Dodge pickup.

They have no spots for tent campers.   >:(  All their spots are gravel, which isn't condusive to tent camping.  They also won't let me sleep in the car.  I'm starting to think about a truck stop parking lot.

I did find another campground real close.  I'm sure they would allow your tent, but they cater to the big RV's.  They have water and electric hookups, but no showers, only port-a-potties. They are 2 miles from the Embassy Suites and only $15 a night.  He is Roaul Yates and their email is

Just called in a reservation (with a not too bright woman) for 9/20-9/23 and asked to be near the Lape party.  I think I better call in again in the morning to be sure she didn't screw it up.
