Title: transmission diagram
Post by: James on July 23, 2007, 06:25:50 AM
Does anyone have an exploded diagram for a 1935 or 1936 transmission? Could you please scan it and send it via email? Also, where is a good source for transmission parts?

E-mail address? or mailing address? What type of parts do you need? Many bearings can be interchanged at any good parts store or auto/implement store. Gears are another story but they come up on eBay every so often.....

hi Jim, Here's the email address: I am looking for the following transmission/clutch parts: 622915 clutch release SPRING (standard & 10" clutch) (need 2) 633686 Clutch release bearing sleave and guide SPRING 679203 Transmission second speed gear thrust WASHER 679204 Transmission second speed gear thrust washer LOCK
Here is what may be a dumb question: When pressing the Main shaft rear ng oil seal ass'y (600420) on to the main shaft, does it matter which side faces forward? One side of the bearing is flush; the other side has the ball bearing rollers and their cover exposed. I'm guessing that because it is inside the transmission, it has oil flowing through it anyway and it doesn't matter. Anyone know?
Finally, my parts book shows the transmission uses part type code 21-10-22, 666292 (1 required) Transmission second speed gear thrust washer SPRING. But I can't find this spring on any of the exploded diagrams of any transmission. Any ideas?
