Title: Needed: Rumble seat lid
Post by: 33plycoupe on January 07, 2006, 06:23:15 PM
I am having my 33 Plymouth PD R/S coupe painted, and my body man tells me that my lid should be replaced. Anyone know where one is?? I would imagine they are hard to find. Would another year fit the 33?? Would appreciate any help/guidance.

U might inquire just what makes the lid unrepairable.  Some body guys- esp the ones without grey hair- only know how to replace not repair.

John.....Where are you located?  I know a couple of metal men in So. Cal that could take a piece of swiss cheese and turn it into  a first class piece of metal.
The lower five inches on the rumble lid for my 39 Conv was mostly rusted away. after my metal man got done with it, it was like new. No Bondo, no lead, just hand formed steel .....Bill
