Title: Car/Truck front fender interchange?
Post by: David Zeak on June 23, 2007, 11:32:17 PM
I was wondering if any car front fenders interchange with the front fenders of a 1937 PT 50 pickup? I'm not concerned about having a spare tire well.

Don't know if they will interchange but they have different part numbers...

Thanks Jim for your reply. I read a post here that stated 1936 car fenders are the same as 1937 truck fenders. Thats why I'm asking.

Just returned from Chrysler Carlisle, saw a 36 sedan there and measured the front  fender at approx. centerline from front to runningboard. It measured about 2 inches or so shorter than my 37 pickup fender, otherwise looked the same. Are all 36 front fenders the same?

Only one fender (per side) listed for 1936, both the P1 and P2 using the same part. No difference listed per body style.

Assuming you have a high speed internet connection and plenty of time to download PDF files, the following link might be of interest to you:

This is how I got my copy of the 1936-48 parts book. And the price was right. :)
