This is a good motivation to finish plans, thanks 41plySD!
I?ll write to George Asche immediately for an overdrive.

Planning July?s holidays:
1.st day: 300 mls Autobahn to Ulm /Germany
2nd day: 320 mls 2nd class roads (several 12% climbings) for a 10 days rest at Merano  / S?dtirol (Italy) with a 3-days touristic rallye,
12th day: 180 mls 2nd class roads (11 % climbings) for 3 days at  Z?rich /Switzerland,
15th day: 390 mls Autobahn all the way back to D?sseldorf

Overdrive would come in handy for the long Autobahn stretches...

Greeetings! Go

Thanks for the photos, always good to see photos of other members cars.  Thankfully today January is half done.

I'm just getting around to post a few photos of my 41 that I took late last fall. I hope you enjoy and it helps you to forget about the winter. Spring is just around the corner :-\

No new pics of Gus.  I need to call up there.   I believe Jim has left Maine for the season, so updates aren't likely until spring.
Last time we talked, it was to decide if I was going to take a chance on buying a used radiator sight unseen or if he was going to fit a
generic hotrod radiator (after painting it flat black to kill the shiny aluminum look).

I went back to work about a month ago and so am back to not keeping up with my life.  But on the way home today I decided I needed to come here to the PB discussion.

Bob D, I am hoping maybe this year I will make it back to Big Indian!

I still have the photos of you and "Gus" at Big Indian, I think your car looks great as is

Bob (41) - nice car, nice pictures!
Bob (40) - When I went to the 2001 POC meet in Delaware I was right next to Ele ... can't think of the last name ... super perfect 1941 with all the extras: mine was as much a 'used car' then as now.  She couldn't have been nicer, and I got a lot of good reference photos.  As seen below.

I don't bring my 41 to that though...it's really not a show car.

Bob, compared to my '40, your coupe is an award winning car, don't be dissing it:):):)

In 1991, Patty, the two younger boys and myself drove the Plymouth up to the fairgrounds in Camden to a car show.  I parked next to a beautiful two toned 1941 Plymouth 4dr sedan.  I apologized to the owner of the '41 for being parked next to him.  He told me not to be sorry, as I had an old car and to be proud of it.  I have never forgotten what he said.

We will need to try to get together next summer, at a cruise in or something.  do you know what day they have them in Sodus Point?

Have you ever been to sweet ispirations on Sat in Fulton??

I think the Sodus Pt. cruise is on Sundays evenings...6:00PM?? Not quite sure but I did hear it had become very small as of late. I have always wanted to go to Fulton...just haven't made the trip yet. That's just about an hours drive for me...not bad. I'd love to meet you sometime Greg. Moparmadness in Liverpool if nothing else right! I don't bring my 41 to that though...it's really not a show car. I bring one of my finned or C-body land yachts to that one ;D

Looks good, oticed the NY YOM plates, where you located??

Just east of Rochester, NY...I believe I parked near/next to you at Liverpool...a couple of years ago with my 58 DeSoto at the Mopar Madness show. I learned later from another member here that you are on this forum. I hope to meet you sometime soon.

Bob,

Thanks for sharing the great photos. You're choice of backgrounds for the coupe is very good.. other than the handicapped signs at the church, I would suppose it could have been 1941 all over again :)

I wish more forum members would post photos of their cars for all of us to enjoy,

Thanks again,
Bob

I've been inspired by Bob Drown's photography of his Wayback Machine...so I took a few photos of the old coupe recently. Thought I'd share them with you all...I hope you enjoy.
