Hey Josh,
I found my 1977 Volare (garaged for 10 years) from an older lady about 5 miles from my house and the car was only $1,500 I put new hoses, fixed the A/C and headliner, now I have a cool Plymouth! SO take your time and save a little cash, you never know? Check out auto Roundup, but the best deals are from word of mouth! .... Keep checking with the guys here and you might find you a nice Plymouth. "heck, one day I might just sell my Volare, and My first choice would be someone... like you"

thanks for the kind words Pat ;D

Im not taking anything away from the car, it looks like a decent cruiser and a good starter Mopar for a young gun and I genuinely like the mid-70s Roscoe P Coltrane Furys but I dont want to see anyone get ripped off.

If you spent anywhere near the asking price for that car, theres no way youd ever get it back.  In the pictures, the paint looks decent but its black and hard to see the quality of the bodywork in a picture and its obviously not the original color.  The engine bay is atrocious and the wheels and exhaust are, uh, cheap.  The tires are mismatched and the interior looks like it needs a good going through and like I said, there is NO ONE that repops parts for these cars-your sole source is used or NOS and they didnt build a whole lot of these cars to begin with.

On the positive side, most 71-74 B-Body underpinnings will swap into a 75 Fury but sheetmetal, trim and interior are 75-78 specific.  Its a 318 so if its been maintained properly, its good for 200,000 miles and if you do get it, it will be the only one at the cruise night.

I stand behind $2K for it.  Good luck and if you do get it please lose the rims!

heres a 75 RR for a little inspiration

Ausoj20-

Take a look at the list of cars that LTDan owns, at the bottom of his post. If I were in the market for a '70s MOPAR car, I'd listen to his advice; it looks to me like he's been there and done that.

Best of luck to you, whatever you decide.

Pat O'Connor

Also, I'm not looking at it for a collector car. It's going to be more of a daily driver/weekend racer. My brother has a '73 Nova so i need something to show him up=P My truck just doesn't quite cut it. I'm only 18 so I'm not looking to spend a ton of money and make it original. Just something that interests me and caught my interest.

that's the link to the car. I drove to see it (4 hour drive) and took it for a ride. It drives great, started right up, and just because you brought it up, it did seem like he was hitting the pipe =P

the seller has been hitting the crackpipe too hard.

Without pictures its hard to guage a real estimate but its an off year model with little collector interest and parts are very hard to find.  $2000 at best.

Hi everyone. I'm looking into selling my '92 Dodge 3/4 ton diesel and buying a 1975 Plymouth Fury. It has been an Arizona car up until 7 years ago when it was brought here, to Wisconsin. Since coming here, it has only been driven to car shows and swap meets. It is garaged during the winter so there is no rust at all. It has a 318 with a 2 barrel. 99,500 miles on it. The interior is a little ripped up but easily fixable. The factory air conditioner need work which is no big deal to me. It has the original black dog dish rims, and also a pair of cragar rims. Possibly a set of four drag radial tires. The paint was redone when it was brought to Wisconsin. The speedometer also needs to be replaced. He want $3,800 for it. I haven't found a website with car values from that age. If there is anyone who could tell me more about this, whether it's a good deal, or a place where I could find out, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you. Joshua.
